My name is Caroline Grewar-Brinkhoff and I live with my family in Cape Town, South Africa. During the South African winter months, it's the Swiss wedding season and a great opportunity to spend some time on home soil for me. Curious about how I became a wedding celebrant? To be honest, from boredom... I was working full-time in corporate communications, sitting at the same desk in the same office daily – and urgently needed a change. Organizing our own wedding and a friend's request inspired me to start officiating ceremonies. That was over six years ago, and I've now married more than 35 couples. And: it's truly the most wonderful job imaginable.
Every couple has amazing stories up their sleeve, as every love is one of a kind. You simply need to listen well, ask the right questions, and feel where there's more to uncover.

Möchten eure Freunde die Hochzeitszeremonie für euch gestalten, wissen aber nicht so recht, wie angehen? Dann unterstütze ich euch ebenfalls gerne. Ein umfangreicher Workshop sowie gezielte Fragestellungen und Tools helfen euren Freunden, eine gelungene Hochzeitszeremonie zusammenzustellen.
Ihr fragt euch, wie ich überhaupt auf die Tätigkeit als Traurednerin gekommen bin? Ehrlich gesagt, aus Langeweile… ich arbeitete im Vollzeitpensum in der Kommunikation und war jeden Tag im selben Büro, am selben Schreibtisch – und brauchte dringend etwas Abwechslung. Die Organisation unserer eigenen Hochzeitsfeier und die Anfrage von Freunden haben mich ermutigt, freie Trauungen anzubieten. Das war von mehr als fünf Jahren und in der Zwischenzeit durfte ich über 25 Paare verheiraten. Und: es ist der schönste Job überhaupt.
Jedes Paar hat tolle Geschichten auf Lager, denn jede Liebe ist einzigartig. Man muss nur gut zuhören, die richtige Fragen stellen und spüren, wo es noch mehr zu erzählen gibt.
